Quite a few took advantage of the pandemic to work not from home but from anywhere. Resorts and hotels in destinations worldwide pitched themselves as alternatives for workers and families who were locked down in their houses and apartments.

All eyes are on the travel industry, and we are waging a yearlong battle with not only our own health but the health of our clients, our travel agencies and our supplier partners. As a former employee of a major cruise line, and a current travel agency owner, I wanted to take a moment to voice my concern with the lack of progress we are making in the cruise sector and the CDC during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Even as COVID-19 cases continue to surge across the U.S. this autumn, Americans appear to be going ahead with planning their 2020 wintertime and holiday travels. According to the LuggageHero October Travel Sentiment Monitor's findings, almost half (45 percent) of Americans are still planning to travel this winter.
